This table was designed to serve multiple functions and meet multiple size requirements.  When fully open, the table can easily seat 8-10.  But, the back leaf can be folded down conserve space when a smaller table is desired.  The table size can be further reduced by folding the large leaf over the top, allowing the table to be set against the wall to act as a shelf or serving buffet.  I am currently working on a cabinet that will slide into the frame of the table to provide storage space for the buffet function.   The purposed of the cabinet is to provide storage for plates, utensils, etc. with the idea that everything needed for a meal could, with the exception of food, could be contained within the table.
