Overton County Nursing Home

Overton County Nursing Home needed to add space to it’s facilities to separate occupational therapy and physical therapy into two areas.  The existing therapy room is to be renovated to serve as the physical therapy area, while a new addition would house occupational therapy.  New spaces include a small kitchen / dining area, a flex area that could be used for therapy or private family events and two-accessible bathrooms, one of those having an accessible shower.  An outdoor, covered terrace provides staff and tenants a place to enjoy the garden area behind the main building.  The modern design is in keeping with the original structure, constructed in 1975 and its scale mimics a small home to which a tenant is being prepared to return.  Large windows overlook the outdoor garden and fish pond.
