Stickley 700 Cabinet

Red Oak

This is a reproduction of a #700 Stickley Cabinet designed by Harvy Ellis for Stickley in 1902.  This cabinet was constructed of red oak and finished with orange shellac and a homemade oil/poly finish.  Though it is a reproduction cabinet, I put great emphasis in ensuring that the pieces selected from each board were uniform in color and that the grains were oriented such that they radiate from the center of the back panel.  The cabinet has a slatted back panel, two shelves, and a six-light glass door that is held by a mortise lock.
