Tage Frid Side Chair

This side chair, designed by Danish furniture maker Tage Frid, was assigned for students to learn about design, scale of members, ergonomics and upholstery of a comfortable chair.  Each student was allowed to select the type of wood as well as the fabric for the seat.  The fabric was hand-made by Bobbie Patterson, a local artist.  The construction is all mortise and tenon.

This chair was voted best in craftsmanship by the other students taking the class.
